Rooted in craft, grounded in story

Clay Stories is more than a name - it's a way of working. Slow, rooted in craft, grounded in the poetry of everyday life. Each mug, bowl, plate, or sculpture is shaped by hand and designed to be held - to become part of someone else's story.

I create hand-built pottery inspired by the quiet beauty of the varied coastal South Carolina Lowcountry landscape. The river's rhythm, the hush of pinewoods, the curve of an oyster shell, the glow of a sunset. Every piece I make begins with a story, a journey, or an experience, like a bike ride through the wooded paths, a glimpse of the sun sparkling on the water, the breeze blowing the marsh grass, a fallen leaf, and the animals that visit my backyard daily.
